Where are you located?

We are in a doggy daycare and boarding facility, 7539 Holley circle unit b, Panama City beach, Florida. 

 

Which vaccines are required for grooming? 

We ask that your pet is fully vaccinated for grooming. The state of Florida requires rabies for all pets at the age of 4 months. It is required to bring in certification of updated records for grooming appointments.

 

Do you require a booking fee? 

Yes. For new clients, upon booking your first appointment with AZGroomz, it is required that a card is on file and that a $20 nonrefundable deposit is made, this deposit will go towards your pet’s grooming service price.

 

How long does a grooming appointment take?

The normal time frame quoted is 2-3 hours. The service time can be dependent of the time of service booked it can also vary on your pet’s coat, condition, and behavior but is always discussed as needed. 

 

What is included with my dog’s groom?

All bath and haircut services include a wash with iGroom 2-1 wash, brush, blow-out, ear cleaning, nail trimming. Anal gland expression and ear hair plucking is included, ONLY UPON REQUEST. 

 

What will be the cost of my pet’s groom? 

Pricing is based on breed, age, weight, coat and skin condition and temperament of your pet. We will give you an exact cost when booking an appointment. Prices can be viewed on our services page as a guide pricing.

After my grooming appointment can my pet play with the daycare dogs? 

If they are fully vaccinated, there is designated space for groomed pets to free roam with other groomed pets until pick up. If asked to be separate from other pets, they kept separate from daycare dogs and are kept in cushioned kennels. 

 

How often should my pet be groomed? 

A normal grooming schedule can vary from 4-12 weeks depending on the breed, length of hair and type of coat your pet has.

My pet must be sedated for grooming, will that be fine? 

Prescribed sedatives approved by AZGroomz are trazadone and gabapentin. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES do we allow any other sedatives. We do always recommend natural and holistic remedies to help aid anxiety during the groom process. 

 

Do you groom aggressive dogs? 

Keeping a dog calm during the grooming process is just once of the requirements of a groomer. We understand that some dogs may have had a bad experience, but this is where we specialize in patience and time as we are confident that we make your pet’s grooming visit the most enjoyable, every visit. 

 

My dog is old, can it be groomed? 

All dogs regardless of age benefit from being groomed. We have a special place in our hearts for our senior fur friends and we are trained and on the individual considerations for special handling of these furbabies. We are experienced in working with deaf, blind, arthritic dogs, and those with diabetes. It is always important to seek advisement from your vet first to help decide whether there would be any adverse risk in grooming your older pet. However very aged, disabled, or ill pets can require specialist treatment and can/will be recommend being groomed at the vet.

 

Do you have a cancellation/no show fee?

Yes. Any cancellation with less than 24 hours of notice are subject to a cancellation fee of $25 via invoice and must be paid before any further appointments are made. In the case an emergency AZGroomz does understand and will consider the circumstance on an individual basis and client will be refunded deposit if owed. In the case of a no show, a fee of $25 will be sent via invoice, and must be paid to make future appointments.

What type of payment do you accept? 

We accept cash, debit and credit cards and mobile payments via Venmo @ AZGroomz.
